Did You Know?  During the historic 1991 postseason campaign with the Minnesota Twins, Davis was the offensive engine behind their World Series title run, hammering two crucial home runs and driving in four runs in the Fall Classic against the Atlanta Braves. Later in his career, he brought that exact veteran edge to the New York Yankees, anchoring the designated hitter spot for Joe Torre’s back-to-back World Series Championship squads in 1998 and 1999. He specialized in grueling, deep-count battles that completely wore out opposing pitching staffs.
