Lenny Harris

The King of Pinch-Hitting: A quintessential utility player, Harris holds the Major League record for the most career pinch-hits (212). He was a master of coming off the bench cold and delivering a professional at-bat.

Playing Career: His career spanned 18 seasons (1988–2005), during which he played for nearly a third of the league, including the Reds, Dodgers, Mets, and Marlins. He was a versatile “super-utility” man, appearing at every defensive position except catcher and center field.

World Series Champion: He was a member of the 2003 Florida Marlins championship team, providing a veteran left-handed bat for their postseason run.

Marty Brown

The “Hard-Nosed” Third Baseman: Brown was known for an aggressive, gritty style of play—modeled after Pete Rose—during his three seasons in MLB (1988–1990) with the Cincinnati Reds and Baltimore Orioles.

Success in Japan: Finding his greatest success abroad, Brown became a star for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp in Japan’s Nippon Pro Baseball (NPB). Between 1992 and 1994, he hit 50 home runs, including a standout 1993 season where he blasted 27 homers.

Managerial Legacy: He transitioned into a high-profile manager, leading the Hiroshima Carp and the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. He became a cult figure in Japan for his fiery personality, most famously for throwing bases onto the field during arguments with umpires.

Front Office Career: After his managing years, he served as a Pacific Rim coordinator and scout for the Washington Nationals, helping bridge the gap between American and Asian baseball.
