Mike Cuddyer was known by the nicknames “Cuddles” or “Cuddy.” He played for 15 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Minnesota Twins (2001–2011), the Colorado Rockies (2012–2014), and the New York Mets (2015).
He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the first round (9th overall pick) of the 1997 MLB Draft. Cuddyer is a 2x All-Star (2011 with the Twins and 2013 with the Rockies). He is a NL Batting Champion in 2013 with a .331 batting average while playing for the Rockies and won a Silver Slugger Award (2013).
He is one of the few players in MLB history to hit for the cycle in both the American League (with the Twins) and the National League (with the Rockies).
Inducted into the Minnesota Twins Hall of Fame in 2017.
After his playing career Cuddyer joined the Twins front office as a Special Assistant, Baseball Operations in November 2016.
