Chipper Jones is widely regarded as one of the greatest third basemen in baseball history and a beloved icon of the Atlanta Braves franchise. His entire 19-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career was spent with the Braves, a testament to his loyalty and consistent excellence. Jones was drafted first overall by the Atlanta Braves in the 1990 MLB Draft, a decision that proved to be incredibly impactful for the organization. He was a cornerstone of the dominant Braves teams of the 1990s, playing a crucial role in their 1995 World Series championship. In 2018, Chipper Jones was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility, a fitting tribute to his remarkable career. His number 10 was also retired by the Braves in 2013.

Did You Know? 1999 was Jones’s crowning individual masterpiece. He batted .319 with 41 home runs, 110 RBIs, 116 runs scored, and a career-high 45 doubles. More impressively, he became the first switch-hitter in major league history to hit .300 or better with at least 40 home runs, 100 RBIs, and 100 walks in a single season, earning a landslide selection as the NL MVP.
