As a key part of the Braves dynasty in the 1990s, he helped the team win the 1995 World Series. He holds the unique record of being the first player to hit a home run in three consecutive World Series road games, doing so in Games 3, 4, and 5 of the 1995 Fall Classic.
He was a productive hitter throughout his career, with a lifetime batting average of .279, 278 home runs, and 987 RBIs. In 2001, as a member of the Padres, he earned an All-Star selection and had his most productive season. After his time with the Padres, he finished his career with the San Francisco Giants in 2007.

Did You Know? Drafted by Atlanta in 1989, Klesko joined the major league roster full-time just as the Braves were cementing their decade-long tyranny over the National League East. His true national introduction arrived during the historic 1995 postseason.
During the 1995 World Series against the Cleveland Indians, Klesko put on an absolute masterclass in pure road power. He became the first player in modern baseball history to hit a home run in three consecutive World Series road games, punishing Cleveland’s pitching staff at Jacobs Field in Games 3, 4, and 5. His thunderous left-handed bat provided the crucial offensive protection required by Atlanta’s Hall of Fame pitching staff, helping the Braves capture the 1995 World Series Championship.
