Ryan Klesko is a former Major League Baseball player who had a 16-year career as a first baseman and corner outfielder, primarily known for his time with the Atlanta Braves and the San Diego Padres. He was known for his powerful left-handed swing.
As a key part of the Braves dynasty in the 1990s, he helped the team win the 1995 World Series. He holds the unique record of being the first player to hit a home run in three consecutive World Series road games, doing so in Games 3, 4, and 5 of the 1995 Fall Classic.
He was a productive hitter throughout his career, with a lifetime batting average of .279, 278 home runs, and 987 RBIs. In 2001, as a member of the Padres, he earned an All-Star selection and had his most productive season. After his time with the Padres, he finished his career with the San Francisco Giants in 2007.
Since retiring, Klesko has remained involved in baseball. He has worked as a pre- and post-game analyst for the Atlanta Braves on Fan Duel Sports Network. He is also a special assistant to ownership at Perfect Game, the world’s largest youth baseball and softball platform.
