Miguel Cabrera, widely known as “Miggy,” is a retired Venezuelan professional baseball player who established himself as one of the greatest hitters in baseball history. He played 21 seasons (2003–2023) for the Florida Marlins and the Detroit Tigers.

The Triple Crown (2012) is Cabrera’s most historic feat. He became the first player in 45 years to win the American League Triple Crown, leading the league in Batting Average: .330, Home Runs (HR): 44 Runs Batted In and (RBI): 139.  He is one of only a few players in MLB history to achieve both 3,000 hits (3,174 career hits) and 500 home runs (511 career home runs). He won the American League Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award two years in a row (2012, 2013). He finished his career with a remarkable .306 batting average and 1,881 RBIs, considered one of the purest and most consistent power hitters of his generation. He was also an 12-time All-Star, won 7 Silver Slugger Awards, and was a 4-time AL Batting Champion.

Cabrera’s legacy is defined by his incredible run of offensive dominance, culminating in the rare Triple Crown, and his membership in baseball’s most exclusive hitting clubs. He is widely regarded as one of the finest pure right-handed sluggers the game has ever seen.
