Did You Know?  Following his highly successful six-year run in San Francisco, Kent continued to punish National League pitching as a veteran anchor for the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He routinely proved that his intense, direct focus was tailor-made for maximum postseason pressure.

During the 2004 postseason with Houston, Kent hit a spectacular .278 with five home runs, including a legendary, walk-off three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning of Game 5 of the NLCS against St. Louis. Across 53 career postseason games, Kent compiled a fantastic .276 average, a .500 slugging percentage, and nine home runs, showcasing a baseline performance that elevated every clubhouse he joined late in his career.
