John Steven “Johnny” Pramesa (1925–1996) was a professional baseball player whose Major League career as a catcher spanned just four seasons in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
Pramesa played for Cincinnati Reds (1949–1951) and the Chicago Cubs (1952). He spent most of his MLB career as a second-string catcher, primarily backing up Dixie Howell for the Cincinnati Reds. He was traded by the Reds to the Chicago Cubs for fellow catcher Smokey Burgess in 1951, where he played his final season in the Major Leagues in 1952.
