Steven “Steve” Dreyer is a former professional baseball pitcher who had a very short Major League Baseball (MLB) career, playing for the Texas Rangers in parts of the 1993 and 1994 seasons.
Dreyer was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 8th round of the 1990 MLB Draft. He made his MLB debut on August 8, 1993, for the Texas Rangers.
One of the most notable moments of his brief career was coming in to relieve Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan in his final major league appearance on September 22, 1993. Like many players who don’t stick in the majors, Dreyer had a more extensive career in the minor leagues, where he spent several seasons.
